Sacramento FamilySearch Center at 2745 Eastern Ave and multiple venues in the Sacramento region
The Sacramento Regional Genealogical Council presents a multi-venue event: "Family History Week: Digging for Family Treasures" the first week of April.  Archives, historical groups, libraries, museums, genealogical societies, and other groups in the Sacramento Regional Area are joining together to provide six days of activities and informational events empowering you to uncover family treasures: your ancestors, the events of their lives, and their stories. With this information, you can construct a rich family legacy to provide to your children and relatives. Even if your ancestors are not in California, learn information that is able to be used to research other locations. If you have any questions, email info@srgcouncil.org.

It all begins on Monday, April 1, at the Family Research Center in Sacramento with a series of presentations throughout the day as well as vendor exhibits. Throughout the week there will be additional sessions and tours of venues including the California History Room of the California State Library, the Sutter County Museum, Yolo County Archives, Sacramento Library, Placer County Archive, the California Statewide Museum Collections Center and the California State Archives, among others.
