Regular Membership Meetings

Each meeting begins with a short welcome and announcements, followed by a genealogy related program and and question and answer period. Short business meetings are occasionally part of the agenda. Refreshments are provided by member volunteers and are available before and after the meetings. Meeting are open to SJGS members and their guests, and to any member of the public who might be interested in joining.

Special Interest Groups

Our Special Interest Groups (SIGs) are open to SJGS members only; they meet monthly at times and locations decided upon by their members. Our current SIGs are:

  • British Isles Research
  • DNA
  • Writing Your Family History

Monthly Genealogy Workshops

These meetings are open to the public, and cover various topics of genealogical interest. Members of the SJGS are on hand to assist individuals and families with their genealogical research.
