This cemetery is located on PRIVATE LAND and no one should attempt to go to the cemetery without first obtaining permission from the owners.
 
In 1960, members of the San Joaquin County Genealogical Society did a survey of all the known cemeteries in San Joaquin County, CA. One of the cemeteries that was included in the survey was the Drais Family Cemetery. Here is the description that can be found in the transcription of the survey:
 
"The old Drais Family cemetery is located about one-half mile west of Farmington, off Farmington Road on the Drais farm. The cemetery was started in the 1850's, on land donated for the purpose, by Madison J. Drais. This point of the Drais farm was the site of an old stage coach stopover. It was the main road from Stockton to Sonora and Copperopolis. The cemetery was used by others also, and is no longer in use. In 1912 some of the graves were moved to the Farmington Cemetery."
