What is forensic genealogy? How does it help our research? Join us for our monthly membership meeting on Zoom to learn more.

Janice M. Sellers is a professional genealogist and international speaker. Years ago, her grandparents told her she is related to actor Peter Sellers and to John of Gaunt, son of a king and father of a king. Unfortunately, they were wrong. That’s why she has researched her family for 50 years and now helps others find the right pieces to fit their genealogy puzzles. She specializes in Black, Jewish and forensic genealogy, and newspaper research. She has done research for and appeared in the television series "The Dead Files." Learn more about her at Ancestral Discoveries. Members will receive a Zoom link prior to the meeting.

Guests interested in attending may contact president@sjgensoc.org to receive login information.

At our regular monthly membership meeting we will welcome guest speaker James Baker who will present on the topic "Mayflower to Minutemen: finding Colonial Records 1610-1790." The meeting will be held in person at the Stockton FamilySearch Center.
