Our annual membership social event, with great food, fun games, and good conversation! Complete information will be sent to members in the June newsletter. The alphabetical surname breakdown for suggested potluck contributions: A - H brings dessert; I - Q brings main dish; R - Z brings side dish. SJGS will provide utensils, plates, napkins and drinks.

Summer Genealogy Seminar with Gena Philibert-Ortega  (Workshops)

Gena is a professional genealogy speaker and blogger, and is the author of three books and numerous family history articles; she is also the editor of “Crossroads,” the quarterly publication of the Utah Genealogical Association. Her current research interests include women’s social history, community cookbooks, signature quilts, and researching women’s lives using material artifacts. She will present two topics during this seminar: (1) That’s New to Me: Unfamiliar Websites for Your Genealogy, and (2) Fabric, Cigars, and Women: Reconstructing a Community of Women.
